Our excursion to the north of the island for those who love beautiful rocky landscapes, silence and sheer power of the sea. We will start with the rum capital - the city of Arucas - a small stop in the city center to admire the church of St. John the Baptist, visit the observation platform and go further along the ocean to admire the natural swimming pools. Further along the serpentine road we rise to the town of Moya, the Green Village, famous for its sweets and where the famous modernist poet Thomas Morales was born. You can make beautiful photos at the Neo-Romanesque church of St. Candeleria and from where you can enjoy a gorgeous panoramic view of the valley of Moya. Further, through the shady laurel forests of Tilos de Moyá, we drive to the archaeological site of Senobio de Valerón, where the aborigines kept the grain in the caves. This unusual and spectacular place will be interesting to those who love history. Further our way lies through the northern cities of Guia and Galdar, where the famous Cueva Pintada is located, to Agaete, the port of Puerto de Las Nieves. A walk along the promenade, observing the volcanic beaches, the famous cliff, Dedo del Dios and the most delicious and fresh seafood on the island, which you can try in one of the restaurants on the promenade, while watching ferries leaving to neighboring island of Tenerife, will make this day unforgettable.
